Kaitlyn Dent focuses her practice on litigation, technology law, and intellectual property (“IP”). She assists the litigation and business practice groups in licensing, compliance, and litigation for cannabis and other clients.
Prior to joining Emerge Law Group, Kaitlyn worked for the patent law department at Whirlpool Corporation and as a legal clerk at Immix Law Group in Portland, focusing on IP and business/transactional work. While in law school, Kaitlyn served as vice president of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law group and president of the Students for Sensible Drug Policy law student chapter. She was also heavily involved with the National Lawyers Guild, OUTLaw (LGBTQ) student union, and Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Prior to law school, Kaitlyn worked as a psychology research assistant and a film and theatre writer and actress in the Bay Area.
