Josh has nearly twenty years of experience representing clients in litigation and regulatory proceedings in a wide range of cases, including consumer products, pharmaceuticals, food and alcohol, employment, professional liability, and business disputes. Josh also frequently works with clients to help them avoid litigation by advising new and established businesses on risk management.
When it comes to litigation, one size does not fit all, and therefore at the beginning of every case Josh works with his clients to identify all of the goals, costs and risks at stake in the dispute, and to craft a strategy that will cost-effectively achieve the optimal result.
Josh DeCristo grew up in Eugene Oregon, and has lived and worked in Portland since graduating from Law School. In addition to climbing, skiing and cycling, Josh is an avid runner and traveler, and has combined these interests to run marathons in Berlin, Boston, Chicago, New York and Mexico City, amongst other places (though his favorite place to run is in Forest Park). He also enjoys eating at Portland's many great restaurants.
Before becoming of counsel to Emerge Law Group, Josh owned and managed his own law firm. Prior to that he was a shareholder at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, P.C., one of Oregon’s largest firms.
